Upon the Beach Upon the BeachUpon the Beach by ~non-the-road
We travelled to
the hinterland,
with graceful fire
and tasty sand.
The group arrived in
dribs and drabs,
beginning the talking
and carbonising of food.
The leftover beer
was plonked down
and was drank/drunk
while crunchy cigar
sausages dripped and
burgers sat in
upexpected perfection.
Rescues from the sea
were performed and
cliffs were scaled and
jumped. Deoderant,
Caffery's, batteries,
vodka, and glass
all burned.
Sandy fell before
anyone else.
The happy driver
(with people in tow)
disappeared first,
with the rest of us
going as the light
took us. Rocks split
and sand was kicked
because
